Welcome to Orchard

Our mission is to cultivate the capacity of children with autism, social emotional behavior, and related challenges through high-quality behavior analytic technology. We offer a variety of services for children, caregivers, and educators.

We have two therapy centers that provide Applied Behavior Analytic (ABA) services to children with autism and developmental delays with a focus on increasing skill development and decreasing problem behavior.

We teach social, functional, and independent skills and help bridge these competencies to home, school, and community settings.

Who We Are

What is ABA?

Applied Behavior Analysis is based on the science of learning and behavior with the understanding that a person is shaped by what they experience in their environment.

ABA is considered an evidence-based best practice treatment by the US Surgeon General and American Psychological Association. It has been proven to encourage behavioral changes and independence for a wide variety of learners through positive reinforcement.

Our Services

We work closely with children, caregivers, and educators to ensure everyone is involved in each step of the process. As children meet their goals, their support system is provided with the tools and support to maintain behavioral changes and ensure a smooth transition into the next opportunity in the child’s education.

  • Our Board Certified Behavior Analysts assess problem behaviors to determine what children are communicating, and the underlying "why." After assessment, we develop specific, function-based plans that teach socially-appropriate behaviors. Each plan contains research-based, best-practice interventions tailored to the unique needs of the child.

  • We conduct a variety of skills assessments (VB-MAPP, PEAK, AFLS, etc.) for curricular purposes to determine which skills we will work with the child to increase.

  • Each treatment plan is custom-made for each child, and may include the following teaching modalities:
    • Discrete Trial Training (DTT)
    • Natural Environment Training (NET)
    • Pivotal Response Training (PRT)

  • No skill is truly mastered until it can be performed across a variety of settings and with a variety of people. We target skills in group settings so children can learn how to respond and interact within a group.

  • Each child will work to develop valuable social and emotional skills with their peers. Children will learn to interact successfully in social, leisure, and group settings. All group classes are supervised by our Board Certified Behavior Analysts.

  • • Assessing behavior
    • Behavior intervention strategies
    • Basic and advanced ABA principles
    • Discrete trial teaching techniques
    • Teaching joint attention and social skills
    • Natural environment teaching techniques

The number of children diagnosed with autism has steadily risen, with a current prevalence of 1 in 36 nationally.

The need for effective early intervention services is critical for children diagnosed with autism in order to positively move the needle on future outcomes. It is our goal to provide these intensive early intervention services at Orchard.
